On November 8, the Optimist Club of New Iberia held their biggest fundraiser of the year. Nearly 1,000 people purchased tickets for the shrimp boil. The club boasts 73 members and aims to improve the lives of local youths.

The Iberia Film Festival was held this year while maintaining complete COVID19 protocol. There were 40 people in attendance who were able to enjoy short films of various genres created by local film makers. Head to their Facebook page for a complete list of winners.

The Berry Queen Ball is the annual benefit for Iberia Habitat for Humanity. This year’s theme was “The Greatest Show in the Berry.” The event was held on September 14 at Cypress Bayou Casino. Jenny Toups was crowned Her Royal Hi-Ness, Queen of the Berry.
